IDC Technologies (Canada) Inc. Placed Into Receivership Following TD Bank Application
On December 2, 2024, The Toronto-Dominion Bank successfully secured the appointment of Albert Gelman Inc. as receiver for IDC Technologies (Canada) Inc., a technology and IT consulting services company. The Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) granted the appointment under subsection 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and section 101 of the Courts of Justice Act.
The receivership was triggered by the debtor’s loan default and the need to protect the bank’s interests. The receiver is authorized to take possession of, manage and protect the company’s assets.
