David Stevens
David Stevens is a partner and a member of A&B’s Energy Group. David has practised in the area of energy regulation for over 20 years. He advises gas and electric utilities, and other participants in Ontario’s electricity market, on a wide range of regulatory and commercial issues, and regularly appears before the Ontario Energy Board. Among other things, David has expertise in regulatory issues related to ratemaking, policy interpretation, customer protection, cost allocation and stakeholder relations. David has been recognized in Chambers Canada in Energy: Provincial Regulatory (Ontario), The Best Lawyers in Canada in the field of Energy Regulatory Law and in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory as a leading lawyer in the area of Energy (Electricity).

Ron W. Clark
Ron Clark’s energy practice involves counselling stakeholder groups, retailers, distributors and generators on legislative and policy matters relating to electricity markets. He has been retained in connection with power procurement arrangements, development of generation and cogeneration facilities and the Ontario government’s clean energy supply and renewable energy supply RFPs and contracts. He has been involved in electricity restructuring in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Ghana, Albania, Macedonia and the Regional Southeast European market. He has also chaired the Ontario Energy Association’s Task Force on Ontario’s proposed electricity legislation. Patrick Copeland
Patrick is a partner in the firm's Litigation Group. He has significant experience in all aspects of commercial litigation, including contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, class actions, employment and labour matters, and intellectual property law. Patrick has acted as counsel in trials, applications, appeals, arbitrations, and various types of motions, including for urgent injunctive relief. Dennis M. O'Leary
Dennis O’Leary is Co-Chair of A&B’s Energy Group. Dennis has extensive experience in the area of energy litigation. He has appeared before all levels of the courts and numerous administrative tribunals in respect of a broad range of regulatory and litigation matters, many of which involved significant energy law matters.
Dennis provides advice and acts as counsel on a wide range of issues, including the Ontario Energy Board in respect of divisional court appeals, as co-counsel to board staff at several rate and facilities hearings and assisting board staff with the development of the draft codes for use in Ontario’s deregulated electricity sector. He acted as the facilitator at the board-mandated settlement conference held as part of an application by one of Ontario’s major utilities for approval of its rates. Dennis has appeared before the National Energy Board in respect of toll and facilities hearings. He provides legal advice to international utilities on the regulation of electricity and natural gas at both the federal and provincial levels. Dennis is recommended in The Legal 500 Canada for his expertise in the practice area of Energy: Power.

Randy Williamson
Randy Williamson is a partner and a member of A&B’s Corporate/Commercial Group. Randy advises private companies and their owner-managers, private equity and venture capital investors, as well as public issuers, on acquisitions and divestitures, senior and subordinated debt and equity financings, and business structuring matters. Randy also helps organizations structure and negotiate shareholder, partnership, joint venture, outsourcing, distribution and licensing arrangements. Randy has a particular focus on Canada’s renewable energy and clean technology sectors.
