Easton’s Group of Hotels and The Remington Group Sell Condo Project to Chinese Developer
In September 2014, Easton’s Group of Hotels and The Remington Group sold the King Blue condominium project in Toronto for over $100 million to Greenland Holding Group Co., a Fortune Global 500 Shanghai-based real estate development company. The project, renamed King Blue by Greenland, is Greenland’s first foray into Canadian real estate. King Blue by Greenland, located at the corner of Toronto’s King Street and Blue Jays Way, will comprise two towers of 44 and 48 storeys, and will incorporate the facades of the historic former Westinghouse factory. A&B represented Easton’s Group of Hotels and The Remington Group on the sale, and will continue to advise Greenland in the development and sale of the King Blue project. A&B’s team was led by Christie McNeill and included Ted Smith, Andrew Webster and Mike Smith (Real Estate), Kim Kovar (Municipal), Grant Cansfield (Intellectual Property) and Lisa Moreau (Competition).
