Brantford Power and Energy+ Merge to Form GrandBridge Energy

Ron W. Clark, Lisa E. Moreau, Barbara Worndl, Dennis M. O'Leary, Dani M. Shields, Christian Nianiaris, Sam Babe and Michael F. Horvat

On May 2, 2022, Brantford Energy Corporation and Cambridge and North Dumfries Energy+ Inc. merged to form GrandBridge Corporation, the shareholder of GrandBridge Energy Inc., GrandBridge Group Inc., and GrandBridge Solutions Inc.

As part of the merger transaction, Brantford Power Inc. and Energy+ Inc. officially merged to form GrandBridge Energy Inc. GrandBridge Energy is the seventh largest municipally-owned electricity distributor in Ontario, delivering safe and reliable electricity to 109,000 customers in Brantford, Cambridge, Brant County and North Dumfries. It is regulated by the Ontario Energy Board.

Aird & Berlis advised the City of Cambridge and the Township of North Dumfries on this transaction.
