Zoë summered with the firm in 2023 and recently graduated from the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University. She has an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Global Development Studies and Gender Studies from Queen’s University. Prior to law school, she was an intern at the Directorate of Gender Affairs on her home island of Antigua and a residential assistant at an independent school. Throughout her time as a law student, Zoë worked as a research assistant for a professor in the field of health and reproductive law. In her third year, she also worked as a teaching assistant for the Family Law course. During law school, she co-founded and served as a student coordinator for the Lincoln Alexander Pardons Clinic, which helps remove barriers to access for those applying for criminal record suspensions. Zoë also served as the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Officer for Lincoln Alexander’s Black Law Students Association. Zoë was awarded the Justice Rosalie-Silberman-Abella Prize, which is awarded annually by the Royal Society of Canada to a graduating law student from each Canadian law school for their commitment to equity and social justice. After articling, Zoë will be clerking with the Federal Court of Canada. In her free time, she enjoys going to the movies, baking and visiting her family in Antigua.
