With more than 30 years of corporate, corporate finance and real estate law experience, Jennifer offers her clients exceptional legal problem-solving skills and a superior understanding of how legal structures will impact the viability of their business deals.
Jennifer is a member of the firm’s Capital Markets Group. She works alongside members of the firm’s Real Estate Group to provide strategic corporate advice on the structuring of syndicated real estate transactions.
Her practice focuses on fund structuring and implementation and structured real estate transactions. She advises both public and private real estate owners and developers on complex structured real estate acquisitions, as well as resident and foreign dealers, investment and hedge funds, and their managers and service providers on product structuring and formation, regulatory compliance, derivatives and registration matters.
Jennifer also has extensive expertise advising on public and private financings, mergers and acquisitions, governance, securities regulatory compliance and ongoing business issues.
Jennifer is a former member of the Ontario Securities Commission’s Securities Advisory Committee, a working group appointed to advise the OSC on legislative and policy initiatives and capital markets trends. She also assisted the OSC in understanding and addressing issues faced by small- and medium-size businesses through her role on its Small Business Advisory Committee. Jennifer is a former co-chair of AIMA Canada’s Legal and Finance Committee.
