Isabella summered at the firm in 2023. She recently graduated from the Lincoln Alexander School of Law. She has a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies, with a Specialization in Finance from the University of Western Ontario, where she received the Western Scholarship of Distinction. Prior to starting law school, Isabella worked as a Business Development Representative at a tech startup, spearheading numerous new initiatives and receiving the company’s Everest award in recognition of her efforts. At law school, Isabella wrote for the technology and innovation section of the Avant Garde newspaper, assuming the role of Editor-in-Chief in her second year. Isabella held a clinic position with the Legal Innovation Zone, assisting an early-stage legal tech company with research and communications. Isabella also worked part-time during her second and third year of law school as a Startup Legal Strategist at the Toronto Metropolitan University Digital Media Zone (DMZ), on a team providing fractional in-house counsel services to startups enrolled in the incubator program. Her work focused on financing, commercial contract drafting and general business strategy. In addition to working with her startup clients, Isabella and her team worked on educational tools to support the larger tech and entrepreneurship community in Toronto, which included speaking engagements and presentations to community members on the basics of startup law. She also assisted with the instruction and delivery of the new Startup Law course at Lincoln Alexander, where she worked with students of the class and their startup clients to complete deliverables and learn client relationship building skills. In her free time, Isabella loves baking and cooking, trying new workout classes and watching Toronto Raptors games.
