Archie is a leading estates and trusts litigator at Aird & Berlis. He is a recipient of the Ontario Bar Association's Award of Excellence in Trusts and Estates, as well as its Widdifield Award for the best original article in the Estates Trusts & Pensions Journal.


Archie is a member of the firm’s Tax and Estates & Trusts Groups. He has extensive experience with will challenges, contested passing of accounts, validity of wills, estate claims, breach of trust actions, undue influence claims, interpretation of wills and the appointment or removal of trustees or guardians. Archie also has substantial trial and appellate experience in fiduciary litigation. He represents a wide range of trust companies, government agencies and individuals.

Archie’s expertise also includes the rectification/repairs/variations to defective wills and trusts, and serving as counsel on professional negligence claims arising out of contentious trust and estate matters.

Archie frequently publishes and presents on the subject of estates and trusts law for a variety of organizations.
