Andrea is an intellectual property, privacy and data protection lawyer who draws from her curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit to find creative legal solutions for her clients. She excels at adapting to evolving laws and addressing novel problems, making her a trusted expert in her field.
Andrea is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property and Litigation & Dispute Resolution Groups. Her practice covers a broad spectrum of IP matters, with a particular focus on technology and IP transactions, all aspects of trademark law, from clearance and prosecution to opposition, enforcement, and copyright law. Andrea also provides strategic guidance on intellectual property issues related to acquisitions, licensing and commercialization. She regularly advises clients on marketing and advertising laws, including those under the Competition Act, as well as on federal and provincial privacy law and data protection issues, such as Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Andrea represents a diverse range of clients, from local startups to large, multinational corporations and government agencies. Her work spans multiple industries, including fashion, food and beverage, tobacco, cannabis, consumer products, public agencies, financial services, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals.
