Jason Madden's Trailblazing Journey in Métis Rights Law Featured in Law Times Article

Jason Madden, Co-Leader of the firm's Indigenous Practice Group, was featured in a Law Times article that recognizes him as being at the forefront of the development of Métis rights law in Canada. Jason is a citizen of the Métis Nation and a descendant of the ‘Halfbreeds of Rainy River and Rainy Lake’ who collectively adhered to Treaty No. 3 in 1875.

The article, "From Ignored to a Nation-to-Nation Relationship: Jason Madden's 20 Years Advocating for Metis Rights," explores Jason’s involvement in landmark cases over the last two decades, including R. v. Powley, 2003 SCC 4, Manitoba Metis Federation Inc. v. Canada, 1 SCR 99 and Daniels v. Canada, 1 S.C.R. 99.
