We are pleased to announce that Ryan Evans has joined the firm as a partner and member of our Intellectual Property and Litigation & Dispute Resolution Groups.
Ryan brings a unique blend of strategic insight and analytical expertise to his role as an intellectual property advocate. His inquisitive nature and passion for problem-solving make him a trusted advisor and his commitment to client service leads him to provide strategies tailored to each client’s needs. Ryan's background in chemical and bio-chemical engineering enables him to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and navigate diverse industries and technologies with ease.
Ryan handles enforcement and infringement cases and has extensive experience in patent, trademark and design, copyright and trade secret matters. He represents a diverse range of clients, including companies in the petrochemical, consumer goods, manufacturing and agricultural science industries.
Ryan is also involved in anti-counterfeiting efforts, brand enforcement initiatives and Trademarks Opposition Board proceedings. He assists clients in developing internal monitoring protocols and strategies for trademark protection.
Ryan appears regularly in courts across Canada, including the Ontario courts, the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal. His expertise extends to mediation and arbitration, reflecting his commitment to resolving disputes efficiently and effectively.
